Linnette A. Harrigan has always felt her calling as a storyteller with talents in acting, writing, singing and producing since childhood.
She began her career in the film industry as a young actress appearing in the
Warner Bros film 'Krush Groove, " a musical drama set in the 1980s.
By the age of 16, she had studied music privately and was performing in studio and on stage as a professional vocalist and musician.
Later on, she would also hone her skills as a writer, producer and filmmaker in college and thru workshops, especially passionate about making films that explore various aspects of music, musicians, genres and culture.
Her most recent film in development is “Rediscovering Lucien” a documentary about the life, career and impact of legendary Jazz Crooner and Musician Jon Lucien.
Previously, In 2022, Linnette wrote and directed a documentary film short entitled, "Cook Who Wrote The Book,” about the life and music of late pioneer cooking show host Sylvia Elbaz.
As the founder of Linnette Harrigan Media Inc. since 2012, Linnette has been committed to making a significant impact in media and arts community.
Other notable works include her role as Music Supervisor working alongside producers and directors for more than a decade in TV & Film.
She was the Music Supervisor for such award-winning projects as ‘Motian In Motion,’ a documentary film about Paul Motian, the iconic Jazz drummer, which was broadcast on Apple TV in 2020 and for' Rhonda Mitchell MD, ' the comedy series pilot sold to NBC Television in 2021.
Ms. Harrigan has also sourced music for various television and film projects appearing on such networks as BET, Netflix & Hulu. She's represented indie artists, songwriters and a catalog of music for sync (license) curated from around the world.
Linnette A. Harrigan is a graduate of Hunter College. She holds a certificate from
New York Film Academy.
Harrigan has been an honored speaker and mentor for The New York Recording Academy (producers for the Grammy Awards) and for Canadian Music Week (Music Conferences).
She is also a member of New York Women In Film and Television, the prestigious organization for professional women in the film, television and digital industries.
